The HPRC Sweepstakes Tourney runs from July 1 to June 30th every year.  National Quality
awards for 1st through 5th in Open & Youth are awarded each year.

In addition, the Heartland Polish Rabbit Club hosts anywhere from 4 to 8+ Specialty shows a year.
This gives the exhibitor the opportunity to show their animals multiple times on the same day.

The HPRC Sweepstakes is also special as
CAREER points (the cumulative points earned from
year to year), are maintained and acknowledged.  This means exhiitors do not lose the
sweepstakes points earned each year.

Here are the Categories of our Career Sweepstakes records:

Explanation of HPRC
Sweepstakes Categories

“# shown”: Competition points - the
amount of rabbits at the shows you have
attended. Smaller shows, result in a
smaller credit.

“sho”: The number of Heartland
Sanctioned shows you have attended

“raw pts”:  Points with no breed bonus
points added. Point alottment is as follows
- 6 points for 1st, 4 points for 2nd, 3 points
for 3rd, 2 points for 4th and 1 point for 5th.
The final point score for each show is
obtained by multiplying  the resulting
number by the number of animals in the
class.

“BOB”:  Winning Best of Breed is the only
way to get these points. The greater the
competition the more BOB points earned.
BOB points are obtained by multiplying the
number of Polish exhibited by one for each
show in which a BOB is awarded.

“BOS”:  Winning Best Opposite of Breed
is the only way to get these points.  The
greater the competition the more BOS
points earned. BOS points are obtained by
multiplying the number of Polish exhibited
by ½  for each animal shown in which a
BOS is awarded.

“BLK, BLU, BRK, CHO, BEW, & REW”:
Variety points earned from show reports
received from the shows entered.

“TOTAL”: Total points earned as a result
of adding an exhibitor's raw points, BOB
points,  and BOS points.

Wnning Percentage is arrived at by taking
the Best of Breed points and dividing by
competition points (# shown).
